Pagan Cluster Update #2

A walk in the park, and then some
I'm sitting here at Sparkle House, the anarchist group house where some of
us are staying. Looking around, you wouldn't believe we should be here.
People are all dressed up in dresses and shirts with collars. Everyone is
clean and freshly shaven. No one smells. To those of you familiar with
anarchist group houses, this can only mean one thing: an action where we
have to try to blend in...
Yesterday was fun. We started the day with a trip to the Green Line cafe
for our organic coffee fixes and had sandwiches from the local farm
co-op store. Then we went across the street to Clark Park where the
Reclaim the Commons gathering was.
There were lots of speakers talking about biotechnology, and some music.
The Green Circus had a comedy show. There were lots of groups tabling,
both protest groups and more mainstrean ones like the Democratic Party.
One odd thing was some of the tables had people selling stuff. This was
occasionally next to the Really Free Market, which led to a confusion over
which things were for sale and which for free. This blurring of commercial
and free, I think, is what we get when we just have a Really Free Market
instead of the original Really, Really, Really Free Market. :-)
From the Pagan Cluster, we offered really free massage, tarot readings, poi
swinging lessons and Destiny Blackjack. We also made a bunch of seed
balls for use later in the week.
<Several hours later, Andy gets back to his post...>
The action came and went and was fun in much different ways than we expected.
And then we took a trip to the protest organized by the Stop Huntington Life
Sciences people. It had a heavy focus stopping animal testing.
At that protest, one of our Pagan Cluster people was arrested by police. Details
are thin at this point. For audio descriptions and pictures of the action, and
the later protest, check out the Pagan Cluster Action blog at:

We can't release details about the arrest yet, but please send energy for our
friend's release...
